MLB Betting – Ride Philadelphia Pitching All The Way To The World Series

Put down those free online fishing games because it’s time to start thinking about the World Series; the regular season is wrapping up in Major League Baseball and that means World Series picks have to be made. While chicks dig the long ball, pitching wins titles, which is why Philadelphia should be your pick.

While the Phillies have some solid bats in the lineup with Ryan Howard leading the way, their pitching is the reason why they’re the MLB betting favorites to win the Fall Classic. Reigning Cy Young winner Roy Halladay and Cliff Lee are strong candidates to win the award that goes to the league’s best pitcher, while Cole Hamels probably would have been considered if he wasn’t hurt. Rookie Vince Worley has been phenomenal in place of the veteran Roy Oswalt, who has battled a myriad of problems this year. Because of their strong starting pitching, it has allowed the bullpen to be rested as the Phillies lead the majors with 18 complete games, and while they have 45 saves (eighth in the majors), Philadelphia is also tops with only eight blown saves.

New York and Texas may be their main challengers as everyone else may be exhausted by the races for the wild cards in either league. Detroit is a dangerous darkhorse, but they also can’t start Justin Verlander in every game, and that hurts their chances. Philadelphia should be your sports betting pick for the World Series.

UFC Betting – “Rampage” Looks To Test Jones At UFC 135

Even bass fishing guides are impressed at how Jon Jones has strolled through the 205-pound division in the UFC, and now the champion will defend his belt at UFC 135 against a former champ who is aiming to test Jones’ chin, which is something that no one has managed to do yet.

UFC Betting – Saturday, September 24th, 9:00 PM ET

Jones (13-1) was due to fight former teammate Rashad Evans, but a hand injury forced him to delay and then Jackson was given the match. But Jones has picked up on MMA faster than anyone we’ve seen before; put him in an online poker game and he’d probably rule that too. He’s unpredictable with his strikes, he’s a phenomenal wrestler and Jones also has an outstanding guillotine. The only question is, what about his chin? Of course, that may not matter if no one can hit you.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (32-8) feels like he is the man to test Jones’ chin, and he packs incredible power in his punches. Jackson also has excellent takedown defense and he comes from a wrestling background, so don’t expect him to be intimidated by Jones’ wrestling abilities. He also has experience, which can’t be understated in title fight.

Sports betting odds have Jones as a massive -500 favorite here, and as good as Jackson is, he’ll have to bring his A+ game because Jones hasn’t even been challenged since stepping into the octagon. This will be his toughest test to date, but stick with the favorite, Jon “Bones” Jones, at your favorite online betting sites.
