Those betting MLB this weekend will find a full slate of interleague matchups to check out, and here is a look at some trends, beginning with a series that could be a World Series preview.
Brewers Red Sox Betting
The Red Sox have roared to the lead in the American League East after a slow start, while the Brewers are trying to hold off St. Louis in the National League Central, but they’ll be hoping for a better time than their last visit to Fenway Park in 2008. Boston swept that three-game series, with two games going over the posted total.
Yankees Cubs Betting
The Yankees should be favored on the road at Wrigley Field, where they dropped two of three back in 2003. Two of those three games came in under the posted total, but check the total because the Yankees could have a big weekend: New York is tied with Boston for the major-league lead in runs scored heading into the weekend, while only Houston has allowed more runs this season that the Cubs.
Giants Athletics Betting
The “Bay Bridge” series kicks off on Friday in Oakland, where the Giants have split their last 10 meetings with the Athletics. Eight of those games have come in under the posted total, which shouldn’t be surprising as both teams have built their teams around pitching. Both rank in the bottom five teams in terms of runs scored, and they’re in the top 10 when it comes to runs allowed, so expect a low-scoring series when heading to online betting sites.
Stanley Cup Betting – Canucks Destined To Win First Cup

Online Belmont betting players have seen Animal Kingdom installed as the favorite for the final jewel in the Triple Crown as he has been the best horse over the first legs, winning the Kentucky Derby and finishing second in the Preakness Stakes. Sometimes, the best end up getting what they deserve, and that looks to be the case in the Stanley Cup finals, which should be won by Vancouver.
The Canucks are just too deep, too fast and too balanced for Boston, who will give it a game effort, but they don’t have the horses to hang with Vancouver, who have a two-headed monster on offense with Henrik and Daniel Sedin, the best two-way player in either team in Ryan Kesler (with all due respect to Boston’s Patrice Bergeron), and a slew of role players who can chime in with big goals.
Vancouver’s defense is also underrated, and they have the depth to go all the way, even if Dan Hamhuis can’t go because of an injury suffered in Game 1. However, the key to it all is goaltender Roberto Luongo, who has been awful at points, particularly early in the playoffs, but he’s bounced back to give the Canucks a chance to win, especially in the series clincher against San Jose and in Game 1 of this series. If he stays consistent, the Canucks should roll to the Stanley Cup rather comfortably, so roll with the favorite in your sports betting book.
