The NFL odds for Sunday’s matchup between Dallas and Seattle features a team who looks like they’re starting to hit their stride, and one coming off a bye, but with some injuries to important players.
Seahawks vs Cowboys odds – Sunday, November 1, 1:00 PM ET
The Seahawks (2-4) were blown out 27-3 in Arizona before their bye, and they received a lot of bad news this week. All-Pro tackle Walter Jones looks like he’s gone for the year with a knee injury, and Pro Bowl linebacker Lofa Tatupu joined him with a torn pectoral muscle. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck still isn’t 100% from a rib injury, and cornerback Marcus Trufant hasn’t played yet this year. The Seahawks had had 12 starters miss a game due to injury this year, and with the talent they have on their roster, that isn’t a good thing.
The Cowboys (4-2) beat Atlanta 37-21 for their second straight win, and the Tony Romo-to-Miles Austin combination is working quite nicely. Against Kansas City and Atlanta, the two combined for 421 yards and four touchdowns on 16 catches, making everyone forget that the Cowboys got rid of Terrell Owens in the offense. As long as the Dallas offense keeps rolling, they could sneak up on the NFC powers.
The Cowboys are a 9.5-point favorite at home, and all signs are pointing towards a Dallas rout. The Seahawks are missing their two best defenders in Tatupu and Trufant, which means it could be open season for Romo and Austin. With Hasselbeck less than 100%, look for the Cowboys to blitz at every opportunity. Watch out for Dallas: the momentum is building in Big D.
NFL betting pick: Dallas -9.5
